Hikari Horaki is a friend of all 3 pilots and the class representative who tries to keep things under order. Her parents are dead (I believe) and she makes food for both her sisters. She also has a strong attraction to Toji which Asuka cannot understand since he is such a jackass and jock. When Asuka runs away she comes to live with Hikari who owns a SEGA video game system.
Kensuke Aida is another classmate of the pilots and is good friends with Shinji. He loves war machinery and dreams of one day being an EVA pilot though he knows he probably never will be. Like all the other guys in his class he is attracted heavily to Misato.
