26 Episodes
Evangelion ran for a total of 26 episodes, the usual amount for an animated series in Japan. Though the first 24 episodes are the only ones considered canon, the last two episodes still present an enthralling alternate ending.
Each of the episode summaries were written for Yeu2.Com, by me, and have been put over here for you to enjoy as well. Keep in mind that each episode review is full of quotations, observations and reflections on what has occurred. In other words, there are lots of spoilers and you read at your own risk. If you haven't seen an episode, please don't read the review of it in advance: it'll ruin the joy of watching the episode.
